Given the current state of our fallen world, the heightened activity of an enemy that seeks to destroy, divide and conquer, and a powerfully negative culture whose influence seems to be growing stronger by the second, the challenges facing Christians around the world can appear insurmountable.
And yet, as in every generation of Christians, traced back to the foundations of our faith, there are those who have faced their challenges head on. Those who encountered God during their trials and were lifted up, encouraged to continue in the battle, and proved faithful to fulfill their purpose to “bear witness of the Light.”
Standing Stones is dedicated to uncovering and sharing the stories of those Christians who are currently overcoming their own obstacles, their own wilderness seasons, and remaining strong in their faith.
Our Why.
Standing Stones is dedicated to assemble a “living legacy” of faith under fire. We seek to inspire Christians (primarily) and non-Christians alike to live lives of higher purpose and meaning by sharing the stories of ordinary people whose lives were forever changed by encountering a most extraordinary God. Our desire is that their stories of struggle and triumph are preserved for generations to come and never forgotten.
Our Who.
We pray that our authentic, candid, and penetrating conversations will attract Christians who are experiencing their own seasons of struggle or doubt. Those who may be walking through a crisis of faith. Those who are numb or sleepwalking through their relationships with God. Those who seek more meaning. Those desiring a true victory.
It is also our strong desire to reach out to non-believers who feel the crush of current culture. Who feel empty. Who have lost their identity having compromised to “fit in.” Those who are seeking truth. We trust that they will identify with real stories from real people, who not unlike themselves, also experience pain, but by the grace of God, have been empowered to overcome and find new life.
Our Desired Outcome
Our desire is simple. That all would come to salvation through a life-altering encounter with God through Jesus Christ. Our prayer is that through our stories, believers around the world would be inspired to finish their races for the Kingdom and that non-believers’ hearts would soften to accept an eternal invitation from their Creator.
